This chapter is devoted to breads, muffins, rolls, and biscuits.
Gravies, Sauces, Toppings, and Oatmeal
This chapter has the goopy stuff like gravies, sauces, toppings, marinades, and oatmeal.
Salads
Salads can be served at the beginning of the meal as a first course, as a side, or at the end to get the taste of Aunt Margie’s tuna and banana casserole out of your mouth.Soups
Thick, thin, meat or veggie, soups are the best comfort food. After a cold day at school or work, the best thing to come home to is a big hug from Mom and an over-flowing bowl of homemade soup.Other Main Dishes
These recipes are NOT beef and poultry … What does that leave? Ham, fish, stir-fry, and other dishes.
Veggies
This chapter is for all the wonderful ways you can prepare veggies. There are casseroles and all that good stuff.
Cakes
This is all about those sweet, baked confections that usually contain flour, sugar, vanilla flavoring and eggs or other leaveners such as baking powder or baking soda.
Cheesecakes
This chapter is devoted to these sweet cakes that are made with a soft cheese, eggs, and sugar. The crust can be made of crushed cookies, graham crackers, or even a pastry or cake.
Miscellaneous Sweet Things
This is a “catch-all” category for the sweets that aren’t cakes, pies, cookies, or candies.
Beverages
With these recipes, you can slurp and then burp. And just so you know, “beverage” is another word for drink for all you ignert people out there, and no I don’t have a recipe for Pabst Blue Ribbon. Unfortunately, Grandpaw Whaley’s recipe for moonshine has been lost to time.
